Queen Mary Intellectual Property Institute
The Queen Mary Intellectual Property Research Institute (QMIPRI) is an established focus for research into all aspects of intellectual property law and policy. Researchers are able to take advantage of our new location in the heart of one of the world’s major industrial and commercial centres to examine the contribution of intellectual property to industrial innovation, technology transfer, global trade and economic development. The emergence of intellectual property as a foundation of the information age and its role in securing the diverse benefits of the new digital technologies in industry and commerce are further areas of research. A related focus is the cultural role of intellectual property and its application to new constituencies.
