Centre for Technology Transfer CITTRU is a unit of Jagiellonian University responsible for cooperation with business partners of all the faculties of the University.
Tasks of CTT CITTRU include:
commercialization of the results of research through licensing, assignment of IP and spin-off companies
assistance for joint R&D projects
coordination of contract research
coordination and development of the academic entrepreneurship incubator
In the scope of commercialization process, CTT CITTRU conducts:
identification of innovative results of research conducted at the Jagiellonian University,
IP protection and evaluation
preparation of technology offers (both for entrepreneurs and other scientific units)
promotion and brokering
negotiation, preparation and execution of the commercialization agreements
In 2016 and 2017 Thomson Reuters included Jagiellonian University in the TOP 100 Europe’s Most Innovative Universities Ranking, as the only university from Central and East Europe, emphasizing the role of CTT CITTRU.
